Agilex Receives VAi2 Award to Advance Veterans Healthcare
The Department of Veterans Affairs recently selected Agilex to lead a project at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center that will extend core capabilities of the VistA electronic health record (EHR) system to mobile devices like the Apple iPhone and iPad. By doing so, it will provide clinicians with on-demand access to a patient’s medical history, including demographics, laboratory data, medications, allergies, appointments, and problem lists. The project will also integrate clinical calendars and secure messaging with the devices to streamline scheduling and information exchange. Another key focus will be on addressing device security to achieve compliance with federal and VA directives.
