In January 2008, Canada's Health Infoway convened a panel of five international experts on EHR architecture. Dr. Wendell Ocasio was selected for his experience with architecture of large distributed healthcare systems, including AHLTA and NHIN. The group was asked to review the pan-Canadian architecture described in Infoway's Electronic Health Record Solution Blueprint, and offer recommendations for improvement.
